Story

We are appealing to the community he’s served so faithfully for support with urgent medical costs.

For years, residents of Fourways have walked through cleaner parks, tidier pavements, and more welcoming public spaces, thanks in no small part to one man: Lovemore Robson. Through his foundation, Live Life Always Litter Picking Up Foundation, Robson has poured his heart into making Fourways a cleaner, better place for all who live and work here.

Tirelessly, and often without much recognition, he and his small team can be seen picking up litter, restoring order to neglected corners of the suburb, and ensuring that the community enjoys the dignity of a well-kept environment.

But now, the man who has done so much for others is facing a deeply personal crisis, and he needs community help and support.

Robson’s father has recently been diagnosed with cancer, a devastating blow to their family. “He was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. He was recently tested and doctors realised that the cancer is in its early stage and it’s combined.”

He said the medical practitioners have not yet decided on treatment to give him, however, “But they were saying since it’s early, they are thinking of burning it.”

Robson is feeling devastated. He said this ordeal is so painful, so much so that he is having symptoms of depression. “I’m asking for a donation of money like at least from R15 000 to R18 000. This will cover the costs of hospital bills, including treatment and transport.”
